About Red Desert Check-In
I'm Jenell. I've spent nearly a decade in medical alarm response-center dispatch and supervision, working with medical alert activations, older adults, worried families and time-sensitive situations.
As a Senior Home Safety Specialist® with Aging in Place Essentials® Professional Training, I created Red Desert Check-In to help families notice gaps earlier, understand their options, and get local support without turning every concern into medical care or caregiving.
Is Red Desert Check-In the right fit?
Red Desert Check-In works best when an older adult is still mostly independent, but the family wants clearer information, a safer home plan, or a reliable local set of eyes. It is non-medical and does not provide hands-on personal care, medication administration, transportation, repairs, or emergency response. If the need is outside that role, I will point you toward the right kind of help.

No. Red Desert Check-In is non-medical. I do not provide hands-on care, bathing, medication administration, or emergency response. I look, listen, and report back so your family can make good decisions.
Check-ins come with a written update after the visit. Home Safety Assessments come with prioritized written findings within 3 days, so you know what to fix first.
That is common. After you book, you get my photo and a short note you can share so they know who is coming and why. You can also book a free 15-minute call first and we can talk through how to bring it up.
Yes. Many families book from a distance. You choose who receives the update, and I am your local set of eyes.
No. I do not do repairs, sell remodeling, or take referral fees. If something needs outside expertise, I will tell you what kind of help to look for.
Venmo, card, or cash. First-time clients pay after the visit. You can cancel or reschedule for free up to 24 hours before. Plans are month to month.
